Finnish progressive metal band Amorphis has officially announced their fifteenth studio album, Borderland, set for release on September 26, 2025, via Reigning Phoenix Music. The album marks a new chapter for the band, being their first collaboration with Danish producer Jacob Hansen, known for his work with Volbeat, Arch Enemy, and Katatonia. Guitarist Esa Holopainen commented on the collaboration, stating, "During the planning phase of the project, we strongly felt that it was time to explore something new and see what working with a different producer might bring to the table!"

Fans can look forward to the first single from the album, "Light and Shadow," which is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025.
